We had an amazing experience at Cannon Hall museum. We became the house servants for the day and completed a range of roles and responsibilities linked to the expectations of a servant during this time. Children were immersed in the visit and enjoyed their range of activities: in the kitchen, laundry work, churning butter, lavender bags, and a tour of the house.
The children then finished the day eating the meal they had prepared earlier in the kitchen.
