Today the children carried out a P4C and explored our new forest school. The children carried out P4C warm up activities within the forest grounds and then developed a question linked to the text ‘The Giving Tree’. The children thought carefully about the stories message and generated the question ‘How would the tree feel when the boy kept asking for more and more things?’. The children discussed how the tree cared for the boy and wanted the best for him. Some children considered how the boy was selfish to expect so much from the tree when it wanted nothing back in return.
