Home learning
You can help your child in a number of ways, especially through the creative projects we offer as part of our home learning menu. Here are some wonderful examples that have been brought in this term. Each term your child’s class teacher will send home 8 topic tasks per term, these are all ideas that link to the class topic. Children are given 8 to allow them two weeks to complete each task, they can bring them in to share. It is a lovely way for children to spend time with their families and talk about their learning.

Times Table Rockstars – advice and guidance for parents
AI-powered personalised teaching and learning for maths – the programme supports our Year 5 and 6 children with the teaching and learning of maths.
Language Nut – At Rockingham Junior and Infant School we teach French, we use language nut with our children to extend and develop their vocabulary.
Active Learn – Active learn supports your child with Reading and matches the appropriate text to their development,
Children also receive spellings and reading home learning weekly linked to their guided reading text in school.
