This week we have looked at the amazing text ‘After the Fall’ by Dan Santat. We considered the deeper meaning within the story and discussed how we can be resilient and have a ‘Growth Mindset’.
Our children were brilliant at this and we had a really meaningful discussion.
We then closed our eyes and thought kindly about ourselves. Children who chose to tell the class their kind self affirmation said:
– don’t be hard on yourself
– I can do anything I put my mind to
– I am good enough
– I am going to be successful
– I am kind and I am exactly the way I am supposed to be
Well done 1/2P, we are so proud of you and know that each and every one of you will achieve great things. We believe in you. Remember, if you are struggling with something, you can’t do it YET. Keep trying, keep striving towards your goal, you will get there.
