Today, 5/6H and 6B had the most wonderful opportunity to meet and interview the actor who played one of the lead roles in the stage version of Goodnight Mr Tom, that we went to see at Rotherham Civic a few weeks ago.

Richard Wilshaw, a local actor, came into school and answered all of the children’s excellent questions and provided us with an insight into the preparation needed for such a performance and tips for stage presence and projection to help with our oracy skills. Children were amazed when he dropped into the character of Tom (see the video attached) and delivered us a few of our favourite lines.

All children gained so much and the discussion inspired curiosity further into the arts in our local area.
