Today in our art lesson after learning previously about colour tone and shades we have made a start on our dragon eyes.

The children each took it in turns to choose there most desired dragon eye picture and used chalk pastels to draw the eye shape, add scales and fine details in yellow pastel.

Once the outline was complete the children thought very carefully about the colours needed and built up texture adding shade and some tone.

The outcomes look amazing. Our next step is to look at using clay to make dragon eyes.
