What a fantastic day we have had today!

It has been lovely to see everyone in red, white and blue to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe, marking the end of WW2. All classes have spent time learning about this special event as well as joining in with our street party themed picnic outside after all children in school made their own sandwich and decorated a cupcake with the support of our Y6 children. Over 300 sandwiches and decorated buns were made today, wow! Children also made a piece of bunting, which we joined together to decorate the school fences. It has been fantastic listening to the children’s conversations linked to this topic and how knowledgeable they are. We observed the National 2 minutes silence and reflected upon the day.
