This week, to support children’s fine motor development and shape awareness, we used cotton buds and paint to connect dots and create different shapes. The children carefully dabbed the cotton buds onto the dots to reveal the shapes, helping to strengthen their hand control and coordination. Once the shapes were completed, the children named the shapes they had created and discussed their properties, such as the number of sides and corners. This activity encouraged both fine motor skills and early mathematical language.
