This week, the children have been fully immersed in their Stone Age topic through a range of creative and practical lessons. In art, they experimented with monoprinting and pastels to design their own cave-inspired paintings, taking inspiration from the symbols and animals used by early humans.
In music, our pupils took part in their second lesson with Mr Kinmans, learning about rhythm and pulse through interactive games and activities. They showed great enthusiasm and developed their understanding of how music is built up in patterns.
To build on their history work, the children also explored Stone Age houses, planning and discussing how people created shelters and protected themselves. These lessons provided opportunities to combine historical enquiry with creativity, giving pupils a well-rounded and exciting learning experience.
