During the Dig for Victory campaign in World War II, people were encouraged to grow food in gardens, parks and allotments. Soil quality affected how well plants grew. We will try to show which is the better growing condition, soil or cotton wool for growing cress for our Science week investigation. Children have been discussing variables, making predictions and creating results charts to record findings.
