Linked to our topic all about minibeasts, this week in our maths learning we have been looking at 2D shapes to recap what they are called whilst learning that they can be rotated and used for multiple purposes.

The children each chose their favourite insect and used some 2D shapes to complete their tangram . The children had to use their processing and reasoning skills to rotate and manipulate the shapes to make  sure they fit properly within there  chosen pattern.
